Director – UAE VAT Advisory

About the role

We are looking for an experienced VAT Director to lead and expand our UAE VAT Advisory practice in Dubai. The role blends deep technical VAT knowledge with senior client management, team leadership, and business development responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex UAE VAT and indirect tax advisory engagements.
• Manage relationships with CFOs, finance directors, tax heads, and other senior stakeholders.
• Develop and grow the UAE VAT Advisory practice and service offering.
• Identify new business opportunities and support pitches and proposals.
• Oversee technical quality and delivery of client engagements.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing VAT team.
• Drive revenue, profitability, utilisation, and overall practice performance.
• Stay updated on UAE VAT, FTA guidance, and GCC tax developments.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in VAT and indirect tax advisory, with strong UAE/Dubai market exposure.
• Proven senior‑level client management and engagement leadership.
• Experience in business development and growing client relationships.
• Practice or service‑line management experience is preferred.
• Strong commercial, leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Background in a Big 4, leading professional services firm, or established tax advisory practice.
• Relevant qualification such as CA, CTA, ACCA, CPA, ADIT or equivalent is preferred.
