Director – VAT Advisory

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Director to lead and expand our UAE VAT Advisory practice. This senior position combines deep technical VAT knowledge with client leadership, team management, and business development responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex UAE VAT and indirect tax advisory engagements for major clients.
• Manage relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors, Tax Heads and other senior stakeholders.
• Develop and grow the UAE VAT Advisory service offering, identifying new business opportunities.
• Oversee technical quality, delivery, revenue, profitability, utilisation and overall practice performance.
• Mentor, build and lead a high‑performing VAT team.
• Stay current on UAE VAT legislation, FTA guidance and GCC tax developments.

Required profile

• Several years of VAT and indirect tax advisory experience, with strong UAE/Dubai market exposure.
• Proven senior‑level client management and engagement leadership.
• Experience in business development and practice or service‑line management.
• Strong commercial, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Preferred background in a Big 4, leading professional services firm or established tax advisory practice.
• Relevant professional qualification such as CA, CTA, ACCA, CPA, ADIT or equivalent.
