Drainage Engineer

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Drainage Engineer to join its Doha team, contributing to the design and delivery of infrastructure projects across the region. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineers, clients and stakeholders to develop robust drainage solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for drainage and related wet utilities.
• Prepare technical notes, design reports, calculations, quantity take‑offs and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with civil, structural and utility disciplines to produce integrated, clash‑free designs.
• Use Civil 3D, SewerGEMS, InfoWorks ICM, AutoCAD, ArcGIS Pro and QGIS to create and review models, plans and profiles.
• Review design deliverables for technical compliance and construction clarity.
• Support BIM/CAD teams, resolve utility clashes and improve design workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work for quality.
• Track progress against schedules and contribute to meeting project deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in drainage or related civil engineering design.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and team interaction.
