Duty Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Ned Doha is seeking a proactive Duty Manager to lead hotel operations during each shift. Reporting directly to senior management, you will be the primary point of contact for guests and staff, ensuring the delivery of seamless, luxury‑level service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day hotel operations, coordinating Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and other departments.
• Act as Manager on Duty, responding promptly to guest concerns, feedback and operational issues.
• Maintain a visible presence in guest areas, upholding service excellence and brand standards.
• Welcome and assist VIP guests, handling special requests with discretion.
• Resolve complaints effectively, ensuring satisfactory outcomes.
• Monitor cleanliness, presentation and overall guest satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, company policies and brand standards.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures to safeguard guests and staff.
• Prepare operational handovers, reports and communicate key information between shifts.
• Support training, coaching and development of operational team members.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Front Office Manager or similar leadership role in a 5‑star hotel.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven problem‑solving skills and calm demeanor under pressure.
• Excellent organisational capability to manage multiple priorities.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel property management systems such as Opera.
