Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Senior Technical Officer leads a team of Technical Officers and Technicians to perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance within a facilities management environment. The role ensures proper hand‑over at shift changes, reports equipment faults to engineers and supports continuous performance improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and train the maintenance team to carry out assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
• Plan, execute and record preventive maintenance (PPM) activities on schedule.
• Perform corrective maintenance and ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Assist subcontractors, monitor work quality and report defects to engineers.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and manage special projects.
• Ensure staff have statutory training, proper PPE and that all required permits are in place.
• Report accidents, incidents and near‑misses to the line manager.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant maintenance experience in a comparable facility.
• Familiarity with regulations such as OSHA, MSDS, NFPA and BS standards.
• Team‑building and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work with personnel at all organisational levels.
