Electrical Technician - Oil & Gas

About the role

An experienced Electrical Technician with Oil & Gas / Petrochemical experience is sought for an Oil & Gas project in Doha, Qatar. The technician carries out preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and equipment while strictly following site safety and work permit procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Maintain HV/MV/LV transformers, switchgear, MCCs, motors, cables and terminations.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, UPS systems and electrical control systems.
• Maintain lighting, cathodic protection (CP), hoists and flare electrical systems.
• Read and interpret single line diagrams, control schematics and electrical drawings.
• Use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and meggers.
• Troubleshoot motor and feeder protection systems.
• Follow PTW, LOTO and all Oil & Gas safety procedures, ensuring all maintenance is completed safely and according to project requirements.

Required profile

• Strong hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Oil & Gas / Petrochemical experience.
