Engineer - SOC Analysis (L2)

About the role

We are looking for a Level‑2 SOC Engineer to join Malomatia’s security team in Qatar. The role focuses on monitoring, analysing and responding to security alerts across a range of tools, helping to protect the organisation’s digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security alerts and logs from SIEM, EDR, NDR and email security platforms.
• Investigate, remediate and document security incidents and suspicious activities.
• Correlate data to identify patterns, anomalies and emerging threats.
• Maintain, configure and deploy security tools, including implementation of new technologies.
• Stay up‑to‑date with current cyber‑threat intelligence and apply it to improve detection and response.
• Prepare regular incident reports and monthly security performance reports for management.
• Collaborate with other security and IT teams and mentor junior (L1) analysts.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a security analyst role with a focus on incident response and monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as SANS are a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
