Engineering Specialist – Rotary Wing

About the role

The Engineering Specialist – Rotary Wing ensures the safety, reliability and cost‑effectiveness of helicopter fleets by analysing aircraft systems, monitoring reliability and supporting continuous airworthiness. Based in Doha, the role works closely with senior technical managers and the CAMO team to deliver high availability of rotary‑wing assets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and initiate product improvements for helicopter systems.
• Monitor reliability data and conduct deferred defect reviews, prioritising corrective actions.
• Update ETOPS manuals, CMP compliance and technical publications (AAR, SB, SL).
• Recommend retrofit programmes and support technical problem solving during aircraft lay‑overs.
• Provide troubleshooting and AOG technical support.
• Assist senior CAMO manager and Vice‑President Technical with engineering tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent technical apprenticeship, or a Part‑66 licence.
• Minimum eight years experience as a Systems or Support Engineer in a helicopter CAMO environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Proven ability to make clear decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with maintenance management systems such as Trax or AMOS.
• Experience with Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) for helicopters.
• Comprehensive knowledge of helicopter aviation regulations and airworthiness requirements.
