Engineering Technician

About the role

The Engineering Technician supports the facilities team by performing routine maintenance on property vehicles and equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor routine maintenance on property vehicles (checking oil, fluid levels, tire pressure, charging batteries, replacing spark plugs).
• Carry out preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities.
• Follow all company safety policies, report hazards, and store flammable materials properly.
• Ensure a clean, professional appearance and protect company assets and confidential information.
• Communicate clearly, answer phones with proper etiquette, and assist colleagues to achieve common goals.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 lb without assistance.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Vehicle maintenance (oil, fluid, tire pressure, battery charging, spark plug replacement).
• Preventative maintenance of tools (cleaning, lubrication).
• Inventory management and parts requisition.
• Accurate log documentation of maintenance and safety activities.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb.
• Visual inspection of equipment for defects.
