Equipment Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Supervisor

About the role

The Equipment Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Supervisor oversees the troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial cooking equipment, HVAC/refrigeration systems, and kitchen exhaust hoods & ducts across multiple customer locations. The role ensures timely preventive maintenance, emergency response, and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the designated person‑in‑charge in the absence of the DFAC Equipment Maintenance Manager.
• Supervise and guide equipment maintenance personnel within the assigned area.
• Install, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen appliances, refrigeration units, and related tools on scheduled and on‑call bases.
• Ensure maintenance teams respond to service calls promptly and complete scheduled PM inspections.
• Compile and upload operational records, inventory data, and maintenance statistics.
• Serve as the primary safety/compliance point of contact for the department.
• Assist with hood cleaning, inventory management, tool/PPE control, and service vehicle upkeep.
• Escort subcontractor technicians during service calls and perform other duties as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in HVAC/refrigeration and commercial kitchen appliance service.
• Experience with ice machines, reach‑in coolers/freezers, refrigerated containers, commercial dishwashers, and hood exhaust systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain an 8‑hour food‑handler certification.
• Internationally recognized HVAC certification and NFPA Code 96 certification preferred.
