Event Executive

About the role

The Event Executive supports the Sales & Marketing team at a leading hotel brand, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and driving revenue through effective sales techniques. This full‑time position involves handling guest inquiries, managing reservations, and promoting the brand both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities

• Contact guests or relevant departments to resolve calls, requests, or problems.
• Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty, including up‑selling and offering complimentary gifts.
• Promote brand awareness and process Marriott Rewards points redemption.
• Handle reservation requests, changes, and cancellations via phone, fax, or mail, and enter data into the reservation system.
• Perform general office duties such as filing, emailing, typing, and faxing to support Sales & Marketing.
• Assist management in training and motivating staff, serving as a role model.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and adherence to company policies.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and monitor performance standards.
• Perform light physical tasks such as moving objects up to 10 lb and other reasonable duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience in hospitality or sales.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to follow company policies, maintain confidentiality, and present a clean professional appearance.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
