About the role
The Fabrication Planner will coordinate the planning of prefabricated and shop‑fabricated components for projects at our Ras Laffan yard, ensuring schedules align with project requirements and yard capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an integrated fabrication plan for all booked works, keeping workload within shop capacity.
- Monitor workstation‑wise progress, productivity and capacity for each component being fabricated.
- Communicate schedule sensitivities, risks, critical and sub‑critical path impacts to all relevant stakeholders on a timely basis.
- Produce weekly Prefab Shop PSR, 12‑week look‑ahead and manpower forecasts for the prefab area.
- Issue monthly and weekly workload reports against machine capacity.
- Lead shop planning meetings, coordinating with shop engineers and supervisors for daily and weekly progress reviews.
- Create productivity monitoring tools and KPI dashboards for each workstation and component.
- Collaborate with project planners and yard planners to identify potential delays and support mitigation planning.
- Participate in layout meetings and provide input on component scheduling and forecast.
Required profile
- B.Sc./B.E./B.Tech or relevant engineering diploma.
- Minimum 6 + years of experience in fabrication planning for on‑shore/off‑shore projects.
- Proven leadership experience within a planning function.
- Strong ability to work with cross‑functional teams and support overall yard planning.
Required skills
- Primavera P6 planning software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
