Facility Manager

About the role

The Facility Manager at Al Udeid Air Base will oversee planning, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all base facilities and infrastructure. This position ensures that buildings, utilities, roads, and related assets meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while supporting mission readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage daily operations of base facilities, including buildings, utilities, roads, and infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and coordinate corrective maintenance activities.
• Manage contracts and work with vendors, contractors, and service providers for upgrades, repairs, and inspections.
• Develop and manage budgets for operations, maintenance, and improvement projects.
• Lead and supervise a team of technicians, engineers, and support staff.
• Conduct facility inspections, identify maintenance needs, and recommend solutions.
• Implement energy‑efficient practices and sustainability initiatives.
• Coordinate emergency response plans related to facility incidents.
• Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on facility status and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of facilities‑management experience, preferably in a military, government, or large‑scale operational environment.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; U.S. passport preferred.
• Ability to meet USCENTCOM deployment policy requirements and obtain a Qatar residency visa.
• Willingness to work in extreme environmental conditions, endure long hours, and handle hazardous situations.
• Travel requirement of 100% in a deployed location.
• DoD Secret security clearance (must be maintained).
