Facility Manager

About the role

The Facility Manager will lead the planning, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all facilities and infrastructure at Al Udeid Air Base. This position ensures that buildings, utilities, roads, and related assets meet safety, regulatory, and mission‑readiness standards while supporting a sustainable base environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage daily operations of base facilities, including buildings, utilities, roads, and infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and direct corrective maintenance activities.
• Manage contracts, vendors, and service providers for upgrades, repairs, and inspections.
• Develop and control budgets for operations, maintenance, and improvement projects.
• Lead and supervise a team of technicians, engineers, and support staff.
• Conduct facility inspections, identify maintenance needs, and recommend solutions.
• Implement energy‑efficient practices and sustainability initiatives.
• Coordinate emergency response plans related to facility incidents.
• Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on facility status and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of facilities management experience, preferably in a military, government, or large‑scale operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, infrastructure, and maintenance processes.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; U.S. passport preferred.
• Ability to meet USCENTCOM deployment policy requirements and obtain a Qatar residency visa.
• Willingness to work in extreme environmental conditions and endure long hours.
• 100% travel in deployed location and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
