Finance Analyst

About the role

British American Tobacco is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the Head of Finance in Qatar. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, managing cross‑functional transactions, and assisting with audits and fixed‑asset management while ensuring compliance with governance and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head of Finance in delivering corporate and commercial finance activities.
• Maintain accurate monthly financial records, including fixed assets, adhering to governance and internal controls.
• Manage cross‑functional finance transactions and collaborate with internal teams, including the Gulf Finance team.
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable and support external audit processes.
• Drive process improvements, enhance ways of working, and build strong stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of professional experience in finance‑related roles.
• Degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or ACT is a plus but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems and familiarity with financial analysis, accounting, audit, compliance, and treasury.
