About the role
An international consultancy is looking for a Financial Management Specialist to lead the financial oversight of a large‑scale building construction, land and water transport infrastructure project in Rwanda. The role involves ensuring sound financial planning, budgeting, and compliance for a donor‑funded initiative.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage project budgets, financial plans and expenditure controls.
- Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with national regulations and international donor standards.
- Conduct financial analysis, cost control and risk management for complex infrastructure activities.
- Prepare, review and coordinate audits and financial statements.
- Liaise with public sector entities and donors to meet reporting requirements.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in financial management of large infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in public sector financial management and donor‑funded projects.
- Strong knowledge of international financial reporting standards.
- Fluent English.
