Fire Systems Specialist – Design, Installation & Commissioning

About the role

We are seeking a Fire Systems Specialist to design, implement, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in full compliance with Qatar Civil Defense (QCD) requirements, NFPA standards, and Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS). The role ensures safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Design fire alarm and detection systems based on project specifications.
• Prepare shop drawings, layout plans, schematics, and BOQs ensuring strict adherence to QCD, NFPA 72, and QCS.
• Supervise on‑site installation, perform testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Coordinate inspections and approvals with Qatar Civil Defense.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and keep systems operational.
• Prepare technical reports, O&M manuals, as‑built drawings, and documentation required for QCD approval.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and project teams to meet timelines, quality, and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Valid Qatar Driving License, QID, and eligibility for visa transfer.
• UPDA Grade C certification and QCD‑approved Fire Alarm Engineer status.
• 3–7 years of experience with fire alarm systems and QCD‑approved projects.

Required skills

• Fire alarm system design and component selection.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, QCD regulations, and QCS.
• Experience with major fire alarm system brands.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent design software.
