Flying Clothing Bay Supervisor

About the role

The Flying Clothing Bay Supervisor leads detailed maintenance and inspection activities for aircraft pilot flight‑suit components. The role ensures airworthiness by applying diagnostic techniques, delegating tasks, and maintaining compliance with approved technical information and regulatory procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and oversee maintenance, inspection, repair, modification, and functional testing of flying clothing components.
• Diagnose faults, raise work cards for found faults, and manage configuration control.
• Delegate tasks and authorise work in line with Aircraft Maintenance Control (AMC) requirements.
• Maintain personal and team authorisations, log‑books, and compliance with SHE policies.
• Report progress against delivery targets and support bay compliance activities such as tooling control and oversight checks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft component maintenance, fully competent with required authorities.
• Broad product knowledge within the technical area and awareness of how the team integrates with other functions.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, risk assessment compliance, and safety procedures.

Required skills

• Aircraft maintenance and diagnostic techniques.
• Configuration management.
• ITAR awareness.
• Human‑factors and E&PW standard course knowledge.
• IT literacy.
