Founding Managing Director / Program COO – EdTech AI Transformation

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Founding Managing Director / Program COO to lead a national AI‑enabled education transformation initiative in Qatar. This senior leadership position will turn a strategic vision into a scalable operating system that integrates curriculum, certification, teacher enablement, and a unified AI‑powered learning platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the end‑to‑end implementation architecture for the AI‑enabled education program.
• Orchestrate a multi‑partner ecosystem including AI architects, curriculum partners, technology vendors, and government stakeholders.
• Build and manage a Teacher Intelligence Lab to drive teacher enablement and professional development.
• Lead pilot deployments, monitor performance, and scale successful models across schools.
• Coordinate platform and technology integration with vendors and ensure alignment with AI strategy.
• Prepare government and institutional bodies for large‑scale rollout.
• Develop the operating model, recruit and lead the execution team.
• Establish governance frameworks and maintain execution discipline.

Required profile

• Top‑tier academic background (e.g., IIT, IIM, IISc, NIT or equivalent).
• 12–20+ years of experience in EdTech, digital learning platforms, or AI‑enabled education systems.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale digital transformation programs.
• Experience working with global technology or consulting ecosystems (Microsoft, Google, IBM, Accenture, etc.).
• Strong exposure to K‑12 education systems and teacher enablement initiatives.
