Freelance Full-Stack Web App Developer (Remote)

About the role

Mindrift is seeking experienced full‑stack developers to work on the Tendem project, building interactive browser‑based applications in a hybrid AI‑human environment. This part‑time, remote freelance position allows you to apply your engineering expertise while collaborating with AI agents that handle repetitive tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop full‑stack web applications using modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue or similar) and backend APIs (Python with FastAPI/Flask or Node.js with Express).
• Create and maintain data models, schemas, and persistence layers with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQLite) or NoSQL stores.
• Implement authentication, session management, and basic role‑based access controls.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and AI/LLM services such as OpenAI or Anthropic into product features.
• Handle state management, input validation, error handling, and loading states for a smooth user experience.
• Develop standalone Python tools and scripts for data processing or lightweight backend utilities.
• Review AI‑generated code, refactor for security, performance, and maintainability, and write clear, testable code.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience delivering full‑stack web applications.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, freelance setting.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus but not mandatory.
