Freelance Material Scientist (Python) – AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Material Scientist with strong Python skills to help design and evaluate AI-driven engineering problems. The work is project‑based, remote, and supports leading tech companies in testing and improving AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design original material engineering problems that mimic real‑world workflows.
• Create Python‑based tasks that require numerical methods, iterative solutions, and computational intensity.
• Develop problems involving system design, optimization, and analysis.
• Base tasks on actual research challenges or practical engineering applications.
• Verify solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide validated answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Material Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in applied research, engineering, or teaching.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1+).
• Understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations.
