About the role
We are looking for a freelance Optical Engineer with strong Python skills to contribute to AI training projects. You will design and implement computational‑physics problems that mimic real research workflows, helping leading tech companies evaluate and improve their AI systems.
Key responsibilities
- Design original computational‑physics problems covering mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
- Create problem statements that require Python programming (using Numpy, SciPy, Sympy) to solve.
- Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
- Base problems on real research challenges or practical applications from physics practice.
- Validate solutions with Python and standard physics‑simulation libraries.
- Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
Required profile
- Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental or computational) or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in research, applied physics, or teaching.
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation and strong written English (C1+).
- Experience with numerical simulation methods and physics modeling techniques.
- Creative thinking and ability to design problems that reflect real‑world physics workflows.
