Freighter Operations Support Manager

About the role

The Freighter Operations Support Manager will lead and oversee cargo freighter operations, ensuring safety, compliance and efficiency across Loadmasters, Special Loads, Charter Operations and Freight Centralized Load Control. This role drives operational excellence, business continuity and continuous improvement within Qatar Airways Cargo’s freighter network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee cargo freighter operations across Loadmasters, Special Loads, Charter Operations and FCLC functions.
• Drive operational performance, productivity, service quality and continuous process improvement.
• Plan, coordinate and execute strategic initiatives, business improvement programs and operational projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, training, operational and weight & balance requirements.
• Provide governance and oversight of freighter weight & balance processes and documentation accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimise resources and deliver initiatives.
• Lead, coach and develop team members through performance management and talent development.
• Support operational audits, investigations, risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Lead business continuity planning, disruption management and operational resilience activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in aviation, cargo operations, logistics or related fields.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, decision‑making and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven experience in operational leadership and team management.
• High standards of integrity, governance, safety, security and regulatory compliance.
