Front Desk Agent – Hotel Reception

About the role

We are looking for a Front Desk Agent to join our team at IHG’s Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn properties in Doha. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from check‑in to check‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Check guests in and out, issue room keys and manage safe deposit boxes following hotel procedures.
• Verify guest identification in line with local legislation.
• Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, handling guest inquiries, requests and complaints.
• Upsell rooms and hotel services to maximize revenue.
• Record guest preferences and special requests in the system.
• Process cash and credit‑card transactions accurately.
• Communicate outstanding issues to management and follow service recovery guidelines.
• Adhere to safety, security and health protocols at all times.
• Perform additional duties such as concierge assistance, guest room tours and special requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or a related field.
• 2–3 years of reception or guest‑service experience in a 5‑star hotel.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Professional, pleasant demeanor with a focus on guest satisfaction.
