General Electrician

About the role

The General Electrician will maintain and service the electrical systems of Four Seasons Resort and Residences at The Pearl-Qatar, ensuring safety and reliability for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the hotel’s electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, wiring, lighting, sockets, switches, and distribution boards.
• Attend to electrical maintenance requests in guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and back‑of‑house areas.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure all electrical systems are safe and in good working condition.
• Perform electrical installations, repairs, and minor improvement works as required.
• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and follow hotel safety procedures.
• Support the Engineering team with other maintenance duties when required.

Required profile

• Technical qualification or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English; Arabic is an asset.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and motors.
• Ability to read basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Understanding of electrical safety standards and preventive maintenance.
