General Relations Officer – Communications & Public Relations

About the role

The General Relations Officer will support the International Affairs and Public Relations Office (IAPRO) of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF). The role focuses on delivering high‑quality communication, media relations, and digital outreach to promote the Forum’s mandate worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Digital and Social Media Strategy aligned with the overall Communication and Outreach Strategy.
• Produce and disseminate communication materials such as speeches, opinion pieces, official statements, talking points, and strategic narratives for senior leadership.
• Manage GECF’s digital and social media platforms, ensuring coherent messaging and timely dissemination.
• Provide protocol and communication support for high‑level meetings, multilateral engagements, events, and outreach initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency and credibility of the institution’s public presence.

Required profile

• Strong fluency in mass communication, media relations, public advocacy, and multimedia production.
• Advanced writing skills, including speechwriting and strategic narrative development.
• Experience supporting international activities, high‑level meetings, and multilateral engagements.
• Ability to work with diverse international audiences and adhere to diplomatic standards.
