Generator Specialist

About the role

The Generator Specialist joins GE Vernova’s Gas Power Field Services team to lead on‑site activities at customer power‑generating facilities. Reporting to the Lead TFA, you will ensure installation, maintenance and repair of gas‑powered generation equipment while upholding safety and customer‑satisfaction standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and monitor site resources including labour, tools and technical assistants.
• Perform on‑site installation, preventive maintenance, repair and calibration of generators and related systems.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and provide technical instruction to customer representatives.
• Prepare and submit technical reports, job status updates, material orders, quotations, timesheets and expense sheets.
• Sign off changes, conduct walk‑downs and ensure all required parts are shipped to the site.
• Maintain a strong safety mindset in line with GE safety standards.
• Coach, mentor and train team members on field engineering practices.

Required profile

• Lead TFA who has completed Level III competencies.
• Proven ability to manage site activities and make decisions within defined parameters.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Experience coaching or mentoring technical staff.
