Group Fitness Instructor

About the role

Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North, a resort on Qataar's island of Qetaifan, is looking for an energetic, certified and passionate Group Fitness Instructor. The instructor leads safe, engaging and results-driven group exercise classes, motivating participants of varying fitness levels in a positive, inclusive and professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a variety of group classes such as HIIT, functional training, circuit training, strength and conditioning, bootcamp, core, stretching and cardio.
• Make sure dealings with guests in the fitness areas meet or exceed operating standards.
• Keep the health and safety of guests paramount at all times.
• Coordinate and facilitate sports and recreational activities.
• Interact with guests in a friendly way, promoting physical activity and healthy living.
• Work with the team to plan special events, themed fitness programmes or wellness initiatives, and suggest new attractions or experiences.
• Check inventory of operating equipment in line with audit standards to help manage operational costs.

Required profile

• Certified Group Fitness Instructor from a recognised body (ACE, AFAA, NASM, REPs, EREPS, Les Mills or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of experience leading group fitness classes.
• Strong communication and motivational skills, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to speak other languages and a basic understanding of local languages is an advantage.

Required skills

• Valid CPR, AED and first aid certification, preferred but not mandatory.
• Group fitness instruction and class leadership.
