Group Information Technology Manager

About the role

The Group Information Technology Manager leads the company’s IT operations, systems, infrastructure and projects, ensuring reliable and secure technology services that align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and recommend IT strategies, policies, procedures and technology initiatives aligned with business goals and emerging trends.
• Lead and monitor IT projects, including automation, integration, implementation, upgrades and customization, managing budgets, timelines, resources and vendor contracts.
• Oversee installation, upgrading, maintenance and performance of IT systems, software, hardware, networks and related infrastructure to ensure reliability and business continuity.
• Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to understand requirements, provide appropriate technology solutions and maintain long‑term relationships.
• Manage help desk and IT support activities, monitor service levels and ensure prompt resolution of technical incidents.
• Review and allocate IT budgets, personnel, equipment and resources while overseeing external vendors, service providers and contracts.
• Lead, coach and develop the Group IT team, monitor productivity and technical performance, and advise on current and future IT initiatives.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field; professional certification or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• 7–10 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role within a multi‑company or group environment.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems integration, automation, hardware/software, networks, IT service management and technology implementation.
• Proven experience in IT project management, budgeting, vendor management, resource planning and leading technical teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management abilities with strong English communication skills.
