Head of Engineering Technical Services

About the role

The Head of Engineering Technical Services is accountable for delivering engineering management services across assigned oil & gas projects. The role ensures contractual, safety, quality and technical objectives are met while controlling cost and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering management for assigned projects, aligning with contractual and technical goals.
• Plan and allocate discipline engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary teams and coordinate with FEED/EPIC contractors.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, Shell DEPs and QATARENERGY specifications.
• Promote HSE leadership and maintain high safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years overall experience, including at least 5 years in design management of major oil & gas projects.
• Demonstrated leadership, coordination and communication abilities.
• Experience managing multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong HSE leadership background.
• B.Sc. in Engineering (higher degree advantageous) and professional engineering or project management membership preferred.
