Head of Fixed Income – Director

About the role

The global asset manager is looking for an experienced Fixed Income Director to lead its Fixed Income portfolio strategy. This senior individual contributor will shape long‑term investment approaches, oversee asset allocation and ensure robust risk management across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the formulation and execution of investment strategies, annual business plans and related policies.
• Oversee asset allocation, bond trading, hedging and repo/reverse‑repo transactions to optimise liquidity.
• Research global fixed income markets, monitor developments and provide actionable insights to ALCO and senior management.
• Manage credit risk exposures, develop hedging strategies and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify market opportunities, conduct due diligence on potential investments and drive synergy across associates and subsidiaries.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks and financial institutions.
• Lead, guide and oversee the fixed income team in executing transactions, portfolio analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Banking or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in financial services or banking with significant exposure to fixed income portfolio management.
• Professional qualification such as CFA or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of fixed income products and bond trading.
• Expertise in asset allocation, hedging and repo/reverse‑repo transactions.
• Credit risk management and risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Experience structuring, negotiating and monitoring fixed income transactions.
