Head of Industrial Sector

About the role

The Head of Industrial Sector will establish, develop, and lead the Group's industrial activities, initially focusing on steel and copper manufacturing. This senior executive will oversee the full lifecycle of greenfield projects, from opportunity assessment to commercial operation, driving sustainable growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Industrial Sector strategy aligned with corporate goals, identifying new investment opportunities in Qatar and abroad.
• Lead market research, competitive analysis, and investment case development for steel, copper, aluminum, metal fabrication and related sectors.
• Manage end‑to‑end greenfield factory development, including feasibility studies, financial modeling, master planning, technology selection, equipment procurement, layout optimization, automation, commissioning and ramp‑up.
• Provide executive oversight of EPC contractors, engineering consultants, civil, mechanical and electrical works, utilities and infrastructure installation.
• Direct manufacturing operations, implementing lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, TPM, quality management systems, maintenance strategy, warehouse and inventory management, and supply‑chain optimisation.
• Control CAPEX planning, operational budgets, cost optimisation, financial forecasting and profitability improvement.

Required profile

• Proven senior industrial executive with a track record of building heavy‑industrial manufacturing facilities from scratch and turning them into profitable businesses.
• Strong strategic leadership and commercial acumen in the industrial sector.
• Extensive experience in greenfield project delivery and large‑scale operations management.
