Head of Marine – Offshore Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Marine to lead marine operations for NFPS Compression projects in Qatar. The role will oversee safety, quality, and compliance across all offshore construction vessels and marine activities, ensuring alignment with LNG company procedures and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and challenge contractors to achieve schedule and commercial targets.
• Manage marine safety, quality assurance, and compliance for all project marine scopes.
• Coordinate marine leads, vessel suitability assessments, marine warranty surveys, DP assurance, and OVID audits.
• Maintain effective communication with EPC contractors, classification societies, flag states, and other stakeholders.
• Implement and oversee a Marine Incident Reporting System, conduct root‑cause analysis, and lead incident investigations.
• Ensure contractor personnel and company teams are qualified, trained, and experienced for marine activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) or marine assurance.
• Background supporting EPCI offshore projects, including installation, heavy lift, towage, and commissioning.
• Previous work with an International Oil Company, major EPC contractor, or large offshore operator.
• Proven ability to manage multiple offshore construction vessels simultaneously.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in Middle‑East offshore projects is an advantage.
