Head of Mechanical Engineering – Pipeline

About the role

The Head of Mechanical Engineering (Pipeline) will lead the pipeline and subsea engineering discipline for offshore MM Redevelopment Projects. You will be accountable for delivering design, fabrication, installation and commissioning activities on schedule, within budget and to the required standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for pipeline and subsea engineering across the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with Shell DEP and other international design codes and standards.
• Oversee preparation and review of EPIC deliverables, equipment specifications and construction progress reports.
• Manage and mentor the discipline engineering team, coordinating with other disciplines to achieve project objectives.
• Lead design reviews, risk assessments and technical reporting for major offshore pipeline projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of pipeline and subsea engineering experience in the oil & gas sector.
• At least 10 years on offshore pipeline projects and 8 years as a senior engineer on major projects.
• Proven track record as a Lead Discipline Engineer in a reputable consultancy, EPC contractor or oil & gas company.
• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (higher degree advantageous) and professional engineering membership preferred.
