Head of Project Engineering – Infrastructure & Civil

About the role

The Head of Project Engineering will act as the senior discipline authority for the Infrastructure & Civil scope of the QatarEnergy MIC Business Park major project. Reporting to senior leadership, you will guide engineering activities throughout the entire project lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and alignment with corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and govern all discipline engineering activities for the Infrastructure & Civil package.
• Provide strategic engineering project management to deliver safe, high‑quality, timely, and cost‑effective solutions.
• Ensure engineering integrity and compliance with corporate standards and industry best practices.
• Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams, manage interfaces, and oversee construction supervision.
• Control project time, cost, and quality in a complex, multi‑project environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Infrastructure & Civil projects within the Oil & Gas sector.
• At least 10 years leading discipline engineering teams on major projects, including 5 years in a management or leadership role.
• Strong background in project management, construction, and supervision across all project stages.
• Excellent English communication skills, with proven ability to write reports and lead multi‑disciplinary meetings.
• B.Sc. in an engineering discipline; professional engineering membership required; PMP certification advantageous.
