Head, Project Engineering - QatarEnergy MIC Business Park

About the role

The Head, Project Engineering acts as the Senior Discipline Engineering Authority for the Infrastructure & Civil scope of the QatarEnergy MIC Business Park Major Project. The role leads and governs all discipline engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, engineering integrity and full alignment with project objectives. It provides strategic engineering project management to deliver safe, high-quality, timely and cost-effective solutions in line with corporate standards and industry best practice.

Required profile

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in Infrastructure & Civil projects.
• Experience delivering parks, public realm, landscape and related civil infrastructure projects.
• At least 10 years leading discipline engineering teams on major projects, including a minimum of 5 years in team management or an equivalent leadership role.
• B.Sc. in an engineering discipline from a recognised university; a higher degree is advantageous.
• Membership of a recognised professional engineering association; PMP certification is advantageous.

• Strong background in project management, discipline engineering, construction and supervision across all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Ability to apply industry best practices and work with company systems, processes and engineering standards.
• Leadership, interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution and presentation skills.
• Excellent English, with strong report writing, presentation delivery and multi-disciplinary meeting leadership.
• Ability to manage project time, cost and quality in complex, multi-project environments.
