Helicopter Captain – AW189

About the role

The Helicopter Captain will lead safe and efficient operations of AW189 helicopters for VIP and VVIP transport missions in Doha, Qatar. You will ensure compliance with civil aviation regulations, company SOPs, and security requirements while maintaining the highest professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all operational procedures, checklists, and regulatory requirements throughout all flight phases.
• Verify aircraft airworthiness, documentation, equipment, and operational approvals before each flight.
• Conduct comprehensive pre‑flight planning, risk assessments, weather analysis, and mission briefings.
• Delegate tasks to crew members, promote teamwork, and ensure clear communication with all stakeholders.
• Maintain safety standards and take necessary measures to mitigate risks during flight.

Required profile

• Current type rating on the AW189 helicopter.
• Minimum 1,000 flight hours on the AW189 (preferred) and at least 3,000 total helicopter hours.
• At least 500 hours as Pilot‑in‑Command, including 100 PIC hours on the AW189.
• Demonstrated experience in multi‑crew helicopter operations.
• Previous VIP/VVIP helicopter operation experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, operational procedures, and safety management principles.
• Fluent English with effective communication and leadership abilities.
