Highways Design Manager

About the role

Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced Highways Design Manager to lead the engineering discipline for large infrastructure programs in Doha. You will provide strategic direction, ensure quality delivery, and manage staffing across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve discipline schedules and staffing assignments for each project.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels, including temporary personnel, and oversee staff forecasting reports.
• Monitor quality and progress, working closely with Project Managers to resolve staffing, quality, schedule, or productivity issues.
• Develop and maintain standards, procedures, and manuals for the discipline, recommending improvements as needed.
• Recruit, interview, evaluate, and onboard new employees; conduct performance evaluations and manage corrective actions.
• Control overhead budgets and ensure financial performance within authorized limits.
• Participate actively in the Quality Improvement Program and may lead related committees.
• Perform additional duties associated with the position as required.

Required profile

• 4‑year engineering degree (or related field) with 15‑20 years of relevant experience, including managerial responsibilities.
• Professional Engineer registration and active membership in a professional engineering society may be required.
