Housekeeping Desk Coordinator

About the role

The Housekeeping Desk Coordinator ensures smooth daily housekeeping operations by coordinating with multiple hotel departments and maintaining accurate room status information.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily housekeeping activities and communicate with Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering and other departments.
• Monitor and update guest room status in Opera PMS, including vacant, occupied, priority, VIP and out‑of‑order rooms.
• Record and follow up on guest housekeeping requests, maintenance issues and lost‑and‑found items.
• Prepare daily housekeeping reports, records and checklists for the Housekeeping Manager.
• Assist the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Housekeeping Manager with administrative and operational tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a housekeeping desk, coordinator or similar hotel operations role, preferably in a 4‑ or 5‑star property.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong organizational, multitasking and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Professional telephone etiquette and ability to handle guest requests efficiently.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Opera PMS.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
