Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor leads the daily operations of the housekeeping department in a five‑star luxury hotel, ensuring guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping activities and assign tasks to room attendants and cleaners.
• Train and mentor new team members on cleaning techniques, SOPs, safety procedures and guest service standards.
• Monitor performance, provide feedback and address issues to maintain service quality.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces, verifying compliance with hotel standards.
• Maintain and order housekeeping supplies, manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping, ensuring high satisfaction.
• Enforce hotel policies, health and safety regulations and proper handling of equipment.
• Report maintenance issues, create daily cleaning schedules and keep accurate records of tasks and inventory.
• Assist in preparing performance reports and participate in daily meetings with senior housekeeping management.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising housekeeping staff in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to train, coach and evaluate team members.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication with guests, staff and maintenance teams.
