HVAC & ICWS Technician – Mission Critical Facilities

About the role

The HVAC / ICWS Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning (HVAC) and Industrial Control & Water Systems (ICWS) that support mission‑critical facilities at Al Udeid Air Base. The role ensures reliable environmental control and water system performance in line with U.S. military standards and host‑nation regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC equipment including chillers, AHUs, RTUs, split systems, and associated control systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control faults; perform corrective and preventive maintenance per technical manuals.
• Operate and maintain industrial control systems for potable water, wastewater, pumps, and distribution networks.
• Monitor SCADA/BMS interfaces, respond to alarms, and conduct minor repairs on valves, sensors, and pumps.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance reports.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and base personnel; provide emergency and after‑hours support.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years experience with commercial/industrial HVAC/R and ICWS.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; ability to obtain a Qatar residency visa.
• DoD Secret clearance (must be maintained).
• Willingness to work in extreme dust, heat, and hazardous conditions.
