HVAC Technician (Applied & DX)

About the role

Daikin Middle East & Africa is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician (Applied & DX) to join its service team in Doha, Qatar. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing applied and direct‑expansion (DX) HVAC systems while ensuring high customer satisfaction and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of applied systems (chillers, AHUs, FCUs) and DX/VRV/VRF equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and control faults and execute corrective actions efficiently.
• Support commissioning, operation and maintenance activities to meet OEM standards.
• Identify root causes of system issues, optimise performance, and minimise repeat breakdowns.
• Escalate complex or recurring technical problems to supervisors.
• Act as the on‑site technical representative, communicating findings and recommendations to customers.
• Complete accurate service reports, checklists and job documentation.
• Coordinate with supervisors, planners and spare‑parts teams for smooth execution.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements and refrigerant handling regulations.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma (ITI or equivalent) in Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air‑Conditioning.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with applied and DX HVAC systems.
• Strong diagnostic capability and ability to work independently on‑site.
• Commitment to safety, service quality and customer satisfaction.
