Hydrotest Technician - Offshore Project

About the role

Wings Technical Services is hiring 6 Hydrotest Technicians for an offshore oil and gas project in Qatar. The work involves hydrostatic pressure testing of pipelines, piping systems and equipment. Candidates must have hands-on experience in hydrostatic pressure testing and leak testing, and must be able to read P&IDs and isometric drawings. The position is full time, 10 hours per day, and applies only to local candidates in Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hydrostatic pressure testing of pipelines, piping systems and equipment according to approved procedures.
• Set up and operate hydrotest pumps, pressure gauges, hoses, manifolds and related equipment.
• Inspect test equipment and make sure all connections are secure before testing.
• Follow approved hydrotest procedures, test packages, P&IDs and isometric drawings.
• Monitor test pressure, identify leaks and report any abnormalities to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of pressure testing activities and test results.
• Ensure proper depressurization and safe handling of equipment after testing.
• Comply with offshore safety standards, permit-to-work procedures and site HSE requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers and other team members, and keep the site tidy and tools stored properly.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant hydrotesting experience.
• Previous offshore project experience is mandatory.
• Knowledge of hydrotest pumps, pressure gauges, hoses, manifolds and pressure testing equipment.
• Ability to read P&IDs and isometric drawings.
• Knowledge of permit-to-work procedures and offshore safety standards.
• Relevant technical qualifications and certifications, where applicable.
• Valid Qatar ID (QID) is mandatory; local candidates only.
• Availability for offshore deployment and immediate joining preferred.
