IBDP/HSD Chemistry Specialist Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Chemistry Specialist to teach General Science (Grades 6‑8) and Chemistry (Grades 9‑12) within an International Baccalaureate/Diploma programme. The successful candidate will inspire students, contribute to curriculum development, and uphold our vision of igniting passion, purpose, and potential.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in General Science for Grades 6‑8 and Chemistry for Grades 9‑12.
• Plan, develop, and adapt curriculum to meet diverse student needs while maintaining progression.
• Assess and record student performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, safety, and compliance with school policies.
• Contribute to the Science Department by creating innovative learning opportunities and resources.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching General Science (Grades 6‑8) and Chemistry (Grades 9‑12) in an IBDP or similar high‑school setting.
• Passion for continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
• Strong commitment to the school’s vision of fostering student passion and potential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour and promote a safe learning environment.
