Inclusion Teacher (SEN) – Permanent Position

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated Inclusion Teacher (Special Educational Needs) to lead a dedicated inclusion classroom. This permanent role focuses on delivering high‑quality, adapted teaching for students with additional learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and adapt instruction, materials and activities to meet diverse learning profiles.
• Use evidence‑based SEN teaching strategies that promote engagement, independence, communication and social development.
• Create a safe, structured, supportive learning environment with clear routines.
• Assess, monitor and document student progress using SEN assessment tools and formative measures.
• Maintain accurate records of progress, behaviour data and interventions.
• Contribute to the development, review and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the Inclusion Coordinator, teachers, parents and specialists.
• Adapt curriculum content and assessments to ensure accessibility for all students.
• Collaborate closely with subject teachers, therapists, specialists and learning support assistants.
• Promote a culture of inclusion, empathy and respect across the school.
