Instructional Assistant/Associate Professor – Electrical & Computer Engineering

About the role

Texas A&M University at Qatar’s Electrical and Computer Engineering program is seeking a full‑time, non‑tenure‑track faculty member to join the department as an Instructional Assistant Professor or Instructional Associate Professor. The appointment begins Summer or Fall 2024 and focuses on undergraduate teaching and service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a 3‑3 teaching load during the Fall‑Spring semesters.
• Teach two additional courses in the summer term for extra compensation.
• Develop and teach new undergraduate courses such as iOS/Android app development, machine‑learning programming, and computer networks.
• Participate in departmental service activities.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.
• Willingness to relocate to Doha, Qatar.
• Interest in curriculum development in computer‑engineering topics.
