Instrument Technician – Industrial Instrumentation

About the role

The Instrument Technician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting industrial instrumentation and control systems at Qatar Steel. The role ensures reliable operation of pressure, temperature, flow, level and other process instruments while adhering to plant safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pressure, temperature, flow, level and other process instruments.
• Read and interpret P&ID drawings, instrument loop diagrams, wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
• Carry out instrument calibration using standard testing equipment and maintain calibration records.
• Assist in commissioning, testing and loop checking of new instruments and control systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to follow plant safety procedures and work according to company standards.
