Investment Associate

About the role

The asset manager in Doha is seeking an Investment Associate to support the full investment lifecycle across multiple asset classes and strategies. Working closely with the Manager – Investments, you will help assess opportunities, execute transactions, and monitor portfolio performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Manager – Investments on opportunity assessment, execution, and monitoring.
• Conduct market research, financial modelling, valuations, due diligence, investment structuring, legal review, and negotiations.
• Provide analytical support for listed equity, fixed income, real estate, private equity, alternative investments, funds, and direct investments.
• Build, review, and maintain financial models for existing and prospective investments.
• Monitor performance of portfolio companies and asset classes, and evaluate new opportunities.
• Perform valuation, return, and sensitivity analyses.
• Carry out performance and market analysis, maintain Excel‑based systems, and produce custom reports.
• Support preparation of investment committee presentations and ad‑hoc special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• 6–8 years total experience, with at least 4 years in asset/investment management, corporate finance, equity research, or investment banking.
• Progress toward CFA, MBA, or similar credential is strongly preferred.
• Business‑fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
• Knowledge of investor relations, sustainability, and ESG reporting is preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (transaction modelling) and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, and Refinitiv Eikon.
• Financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and investment structuring.
• Performance analysis, market analysis, and Excel‑based system development.
