IT Project Manager – Cards, Payments, PCI DSS & Digital Wallets

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex banking and payments projects for our operations in Qatar. The role involves coordinating with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and card schemes to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor and close end‑to‑end IT projects across credit, debit, prepaid cards, ePayments and digital wallets.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, change requests and escalations while ensuring strict governance and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external vendors and card scheme partners to meet regulatory and scheme‑driven requirements.
• Provide regular reporting, status updates and ensure compliance with PCI DSS, tokenization and other payment standards.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of IT project management experience in banking, financial services or digital payments.
• PMP certification (required or strongly preferred).
• Proven ability to work in structured governance environments with strong documentation and change‑control practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with senior management and external partners.

Required skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) methodology.
• Deep knowledge of PCI DSS, tokenization, ePayments, digital wallets and payment processing flows.
• Familiarity with card schemes, certifications, mandates and compliance requirements.
• Experience in vendor coordination and cross‑functional team leadership within banking IT environments.
