IT Project Manager – Operations

About the role

An exciting opportunity to join Qatar Airways Group IT’s Digital Solutions & Engineering – Operations Department as an IT Project Manager. You will lead the delivery of assigned IT projects and solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements, timelines, and budgets while supporting ongoing application operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from initiation through closure, including technical delivery, support, and enhancements.
• Coordinate with business users, internal departments, and external suppliers to deliver in‑house solutions, acquired packages, and application support.
• Prepare realistic project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress against schedule and budget.
• Manage end‑to‑end RFX processes, vendor reviews, and service contracts.
• Ensure solutions are fully tested (functional, performance, integration) before User Acceptance Testing.
• Assess risks, define mitigation strategies, and provide timely project reporting to IT management.
• Oversee application support teams and suppliers, analyse faults, and drive trend analysis.
• Contribute to Business‑IT strategy and budgeting for the assigned line of business.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing IT projects and delivering solutions in a complex, multi‑vendor environment.
• Strong analytical and business‑analysis capabilities to translate user requirements into technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to provide clear feedback on resource performance.
• Ability to plan for future‑proof application design and support business growth.
